This is a verse by verse teaching of 1 Thessalonians 1:1-10. As we study carefully this first chapter, we see the explosive revival that took place in Thessalonica despite much persecution. These new believers were on fire for the Lord and received the Word of God readily and began to share their testimony and faith with unbelievers throughout the region. This was remarkable considering they were babes in Christ and had recently converted from pagan idolatry. But the power of the Holy Spirit was upon them and they were zealously serving the Lord as they waited for the coming of Jesus in wrath and judgment.
