This is a verse by verse teaching of 1 Thessalonians 3:1-13. Paul could no longer endure waiting to find out about the Thessalonians and their faith in the midst of persecution. He finally sends Timothy to find out about their faith. When Timothy comes back, Paul and Silas learn that they are thriving in their relationship with the Lord even though they are heavily persecuted. This bring great joy to the apostles who cannot thank God enough. The Thessalonians stand firm in the Lord and this breathes fresh new life into Paul and his companions. He exhorts them to faith, love and holiness. He ends in holiness and leads us right into Chapter 4, the first 8 verses which deals with this critical subject in the Christian's life.
