This audio teaching is a verse by verse study of 1 Thessalonians 5:1-13. Paul doesn't not need to write to them about the "times and the seasons" of the Lord's return, because no one knows the date. But what can be known is that the Day of the Lord will come unexpectedly, and people will be unprepared for that day of "sudden destruction" and "wrath." Since Christians are "sons of the day" and "sons of the light," we are not in "darkness," but in "light;" not "asleep," but "awake;" not "drunk," but "sober." We are people who have faith, hope, and love alive in our heart and mind. It is because Jesus "died for us" that we were not appointed to wrath, but "to obtain salvation." This is our "hope of salvation." We are to comfort, encourage, edify, and build up each other with these truths. The PowerPoint file and the lecture notes with homework are above.
