This is the second audio teaching in the anger series. Pastor Charlie starts with a very personal story about his father and grandfather. He was not raised in a Christian home and his forefathers were unbelievers. He tells the incredibly insightful story of his interview with an elderly aunt where he found out about his father and grandfather from this first-hand source. He learned that he was just like them - the same sins and struggles that were in them were in him. Like father, like son. Anger is something that can be passed on generationally. Many Christians have an angry spirit because they were raised by fathers and mothers who were very angry. Proverbs 22 teachs us that we will learn the angry ways of others and get a snare (noose) around our soul. We give an overview of Moses, the angriest person in the Bible. We start with his great-grandfather, Levi, who was enraged and killed many men in Genesis 34. Later, Jacob cursed Levi's anger and passed the curse to future generations. Exodus 2 shows that Moses was born to a daughter of Levi and one of this grandkids. He got a double-dose of the curse. We trace the anger of Moses from his murder of an Egyptian to his loss of the Promised Land. Anger dominated his life. The written teaching for this audio file is below. It gives more details and personal stories than this audio teaching. The PowerPoint slides for this audio teaching are above in the file - "Anger Series - All PowerPoint Slides."
