This is the third audio teaching in the Anger series. In this teaching we look verse by verse at Matthew 5:21-26. We examine what Jesus said about anger. It is a very powerful teaching that gets right at the root cause of so many anger issues. We attempt to answer WHY so many Christians are angry. Anger can be murder in the heart. Jesus forever changes the location of murder - we don't need a gun and knives - it can all take place in the heart. Pastor Charlie highlights the four times that the word DANGER appears in these verses, followed by the four times the word BROTHER appears. "Your brother" becomes "your adversary." The one who was once your friend is now your enemy. We also cover questions like why does anger escalate. Why do broken relationships generate so much anger? How can you reconcile with an enemy? What happens if you don't deal with anger in your life? How is it that "you are thrown into prison" and not your adversary? Why does Jesus say to "remember that your brother has something against you" and not what you're angry about? The written study for this audio file is below. The PowerPoint slides for this audio teaching are above in the file - "Anger Series - All PowerPoint Slides."
