This is the eighth audio teaching in the Anger Series. God has given us a "dipstick" to the soul. If you want to know what's in your heart, all you have to do is listen to what's coming out of your mouth. James says simple, yet powerful, truths about anger. In this teaching we learn that angry people don't listen. They are "slow to listen" instead of being "quick to listen." Angry people are "quick to speak" instead of being "slow to speak." And as James so masterfully lays it out in his five chapters, angry people speak evil of others and judge others. This judgment brings condemnation and judgment in our lives. It can be overwhelming at times. Anger does not produce the righteousness of God. Anger is wrong. It doesn't bring about what God desires. This is an important teaching on the role of the tongue in anger. We look closely at James 1:26 and James 3:2-12. If we cannot control our tongue, then our Christianity is worthless and useless.
